Our commitment
Accessibility
Last updated: October 13, 2026
PennyGuide wants every visitor to be able to read our guides and use our tools, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
What we aim for
We design the Site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That includes:
- Text and buttons with strong color contrast against their backgrounds.
- Every page usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Labeled form fields, error messages that are announced to screen readers, and calculator results in live regions.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
- Layouts that reflow on small screens and when text is enlarged, and respect for reduced-motion settings.
- Print-friendly tools, including the Bill Savings Checklist.
Known limitations
Some links point to government and nonprofit websites we don’t control, which may not meet the same standards.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on the Site is hard to use, please email support@pennyguide.org or call [BUSINESS PHONE NUMBER]. Tell us the page and what happened, and we’ll work to fix it and get you the information in another format in the meantime.
